Ken wanted nothing more to do with the military, he had his daughter Chelsea to raise and she is the only thing important to him after the war ended. He ex boss asks for help in stopping Kimbo and uses emotional blackmail and monetary encouragement to seal the deal. A great continuing story in this excellent saga of an earth colony and the people who wanted a life different than the earth their ancestors came from.Product details

Just gets better and better. I love this series of books. I would strongly suggest you read the first three books in the series before this one. It will make a lot more sense then.
Can't wait for the next in the series. Burned through all 4 in two weeks. MZWs writing is some of clearest, most readable prose I've read in a while, his stories are compelling, and his characters really come alive.
I enjoy Mike Willaimson as an author. I like some of his Freehold Series more than others. This one I rate just behind "The Weapon". It is a very good action book. I can't comment on character development because I read "The Weapon" first and there is an overlap of the protagonists.
A good read.
Once again the tormented hero of Libertarian Paradise comes through to stop the evil from spreading. Except in this case it is an evil person he had trained and expected to sacrifice. I was rooting for the bad guy. Who dies anyway.
Good book though
Michael Z. delivers full throttle excitement in this page turner that just doesn't quit until the very last page. The action is fantastic, the familiar yet older characters are still in top shape, and the conflict is epic. I couldn't put it down, Michael I love this series, write more please this was fantastic. I've read all his Free Hold books and they are all well worth the read, this one is no disappointment.
Another installment in this terrific series. Well thought out universe, awesome characters, exciting situations. What more can one ask for?
Williamson is a fantastic author and puts together an excellent story. Character development is top notch, action cannot be beat... I'll read his stuff anytime I find it. The freehold series is one of my favorite...this is a continuation of one of my favorite books, The Weapon.
